Ok, all, because of another post, I'm trying out system access to go.
Um, right now, it is making this little noise after I type each letter. Lolol, pretty funny!
Help me out here. Give all the advice and info you can. Instead of using the to go service, should I download the real deal? Is there a trial or demo?
Lol, need to stop typing! Why is it doing this?
Back to window eyes for now. hehehehe!
I'm not sure why it's doing that, but I know it's automatically set to do that when you type passwords in. I didn't know it did that wen you tried to type anything else though.
Is system access only for windows?
I used it more yesterday and quite liked it.
Is it really as simple as having system access on a particular USB drive and going anywhere? Insert USB drive and instant screen reader? If so, that is so frickin' cool!
There's a lot that System Acces can't do though. Its mouse functions are limited, and it only works with software that is MSAA compatible. It's kinda the PC equivalent to Voiceover, but with an interface everyone's used to. It is true. Plug USB in, instant screen reader!
To the first post, you might have jumped over the dialogue box which asks you if you want to create an account. Tab through your windows or just shut the program off and start it off again, if you can't find the right box.
Lol y'all, I spoke to someone at Sarotek today, and he said the noise thing I mentioned while typing is a small glitch. It is to let you know that something is uploading? If I understood him correctly.
System Access interacts better with windows live mail than my traditional screen reader. No more on-click at every bloody sintence.
I'm fighting the urge to download the trial, because I know I'm not ready to buy. I don't want to waste my one trial chance.
So, does anyone want to come to Manhattan New York and take my SATOGO course? This has become a very popular one. May I share a few thoughts? System Access to go is free and from what I can determine offers all of the same functionality as the payed version although I am not sure about the graphics labeling which I need to look in too. REmember, I am not talking about the SA mobile network just the screen reader itself. A user needs to be connected to the net for it to function and also must be actively using their computer. If there is a long period of inactivity SATOGO will warn you and time out eventually. Yes, you can use System Access on a flash drive without installing any video intercepters on your machine. This is the beauty of that product. This is also part of the payed product and is not available with the free one. Version 3 is being worked on and one of the things they are working on is compatibility with 64 bit windows. Go to http.dev.satogo.com and try it. The one big difference is it is supposed to load much faster due to it's smaller size. I don't know if I am allowed to plug where I work so if anyone in NY is Interested in taking a free course on SATOTO write me and I'll be happy to share the info. So Far it has been pretty popular and I have to admit I have a blast teaching it. It's a wonderful tool especially for those who can't afford a screen reader.
Anyone that actually owned system access, which payment plan did you go for, if you don't mind sharing? At first, I found all their options a bit confusing. Of course, there is still the option to pay for it outright.
I tried to use system access this weekend on my windows vista machine. For some reason however, when I hit windows r and typed in the adress, it said that it couldn't be found. Anyone know why?
the address is www.satogo.com for system access to go, and www.serotek.com for the main website. I like the product and paid outright for mine, though I believe they are doing a monthly payment plan, or even a pay as you go option now.
kodiak bear, are you committed to paying every year then? Or was it just the $499?
Do they make it simple to put system access on the USB drive?
Thank you for the additional info.
Hi guys.
I have System Access Mobile.
It screwed up my laptop the first few times I put it in, but it randomly got fixed when I stuck it back in yesterday.
Anyways, I don't know why it's making that noise. As far as I know, it only does that when you type in passwords. When you're typing in letters, it gives you key echo or word echo (whichever you have it set to) like in JAWS.
Weird.
you are committed to paying an upgrade fee of £80 or there abouts for the screen reader if you want to use it and the sam network. i believe, if you just want the screen reader, you can pay less than £80. i pay every year, for I like SA for the content on SAMN and also i use it as a standby in case jaws goes down the toilet.
Hmm, I thought that's where Jaws was created? Oh, sorry! It is very easy to create the flash drive once you purchase the product. When you go in to the system access menu there is a choice to do this. It will ask you to put in the drive and away you go. Remember, you need a U3 enabled Flash drive which are quite commen these days.
hahahah willie woof woof man. heheheeh jaws is always in the karzie. though i have had good results with v 10
yess, you can install system access on a flash drive and take it anyway.
i love it, better than jaws.
and its lo cost. its like about 200 somthing like that.
and you get updates.;
yes it is available with the free system access.
i installed it on my U3 and i like it. if i knew what i know now, i wouldn't have had to worry about getting jaws set up for wark because i had a couple internships where i needed jaws or other screen readers to use with the computers.;
